Job Description

DataAnnotation is seeking an existing cybersecurity analyst to support AI model training by reviewing and improving AI-generated security outputs. This is a remote, flexible contracting role based in New Hampshire, focused on accuracy, validity, and practical security reasoning.

What you’ll do

  • Assess AI-generated cybersecurity content, including threat analysis, vulnerability assessments, and offensive security techniques, with an emphasis on real-world correctness.
  • Develop and work through security-focused technical problems that are used to train AI systems.
  • Produce clear technical explanations and security-relevant code as part of the training feedback loop.
  • Deliver feedback that directly influences the next generation of AI security models.

What you bring

  • 2+ years of hands-on experience in a cybersecurity role such as penetration testing, red teaming, incident response, detection engineering, DFIR, malware analysis, threat intelligence, or adjacent work, including government or military cyber operations.
  • Coding experience is required, with comfort navigating and patching a codebase.
  • Fluency in English (native or bilingual level) and strong writing skills.
  • A bachelor’s degree is preferred.
  • Cybersecurity certifications are a plus (examples include OSCP, CRTO, GREM, GCFA, CEH, and similar).

Compensation and work setup

  • Fully remote: work from anywhere in the US, Canada, UK, Ireland, Australia, and New Zealand.
  • Flexible schedule: choose which projects you take on and when you work, on your own computer.
  • Pay: projects are paid hourly at $50 to $100 USD per hour.
  • Higher bonus rates may be available for certain projects.

  • Payment is made via PayPal.
  • DataAnnotation will never ask for money from you.
  • This role is available only to candidates in the US, Canada, UK, Ireland, Australia, and New Zealand.
