Full-time Cybersecurity Analyst role supporting the Atlantic Test Range (ATR) in Naval Air Station Patuxent River, MD (onsite). You will help strengthen cyber defense through monitoring, incident detection and response support, vulnerability assessment, and the review and documentation of authorization and technical artifacts. What you’ll do

Provide timely detection, identification, and response of potential attacks or intrusions, anomalous activity, and misuse, including distinguishing these from benign events
Implement and manage multiple security tools, including SIEM, firewalls, IDS/IPS, threat and vulnerability management tools, data loss prevention, filtering technologies, traffic inspection solutions, reporting technology, and data analytics platforms
Use cyber defense tools for continual monitoring and analysis to identify malicious activity
Assess system vulnerabilities for security risks and direct development of mitigation strategies
Review vulnerability data, security documentation, risk assessments, and authorization artifacts for technical quality
Document cyber defense CONOPS, procedures, and diagrams
Coordinate with Government technical personnel, program leadership, and contractor team members on cyber risk and authorization matters

Required qualifications

BS Degree in Computer Science, Computer Programming, Cybersecurity, or an Engineering discipline from an accredited college or university
Minimum 3 years of work experience performing the stated or similar function for Journeyman level (No experience required for Junior level)
In lieu of a BS Degree for Journeyman level: High School diploma or equivalent GED plus 9 years of related work experience, or Associate’s Degree plus 7 years of related work experience (also noted: 6 years with high school + 4 years with associate’s)
Must meet and maintain educational, training, and certification requirements in compliance with applicable DoD/DoN Cybersecurity Workforce policy (DoD 8570.01-M/8140.01/SECNAV 5239.2)
Experience supporting DoD programs and systems with STIG implementation and ACAS/vulnerability scanning
Experience using Microsoft Visio (or equivalent) for architecture and data flow diagrams
Technical experience in system administration, network administration, or software development is desired
Valid driver’s license and successful completion of drug screening

Security clearance and eligibility

Must currently hold or be able to obtain and maintain the proper US DoD issued security clearance, which requires US Citizenship. Eligibility may be discussed during the interview phase. Employment and start date are contingent upon receiving the required US DoD issued interim security clearance.
