Job Description
Join Subaru of Indiana Automotive, Inc. in Lafayette, IN to protect the reliability of the company’s hardware, software, and networks. This onsite Cybersecurity Analyst role focuses on strengthening security methodology, improving detection and response, and reducing risk through monitoring, investigations, and practical automation. You will help security operations run effectively while supporting the broader IT organization with security best practices, reporting, and continuous improvement.
Responsibilities
- Study computer networks and systems to assess risk and identify opportunities to improve security policies and defenses
- Collaborate with team members and Information Technology leadership on security operations, projects, and the detection, investigation, and remediation of information security incidents
- Coordinate with other IT sections to help ensure security best practices are followed across roles and jobs
- Use technical expertise to solve problems and automate processes by leading projects and creating dashboards, alerts, and playbooks
- Utilize Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) to monitor networks and systems, identifying violations and security breaches that require resolution
- Assist with selecting, installing, and using security solutions to protect company data and sensitive information
- Perform regular tests to simulate attacks, identifying vulnerabilities and potential ways systems could be exploited by hackers and viruses
- Develop and maintain processes that keep systems safe, along with security standards associates can follow; research emerging security trends and software to help prevent issues
- Create regular reports documenting process implementations, improvements made, and security breaches that caused damage
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information security, or related fields
- Self-motivated with high initiative
- Ability to manage projects from start to finish
- Ability to use data to drive activity, productivity, and cost
- Significant knowledge of system software and hardware technology
- Experience with Microsoft Azure, VMware, and one or more scripting languages (for example: Python, PowerShell)
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree in computer science, information security, or related fields
- IT security-related certification (for example: CISSP, Security+, CEH, GCTI, GCIA, etc.)
