Cybersecurity Analyst
Job Description
Allegion is seeking a Cybersecurity Analyst to proactively detect signs of current or past malicious activity across its global environments, using security tools to identify threats and support incident response in a hybrid work model.
Responsibilities
- Triage spam reports, user requests and issues, and security alerts and incidents on a daily basis.
- Develop and maintain process, findings, remediation steps, and program documentation.
- Participate in offensive testing scenarios to identify weaknesses.
- Assist IT support organizations in assessing a variety of tickets for triage, routing, and resolution.
- Support compliance goals related to PCI-DSS, SOX, ISO, HIPAA, ITIL, NIST, and similar standards.
- Occasional weekend and evening assignments, with availability during off-hours for scheduled and unscheduled activities.
- Maintain high standards of professionalism when handling sensitive or confidential IT security matters.
Requirements
- Authorized to work legally in the United States; no visa sponsorship is offered for this position.
- Familiarity with cybersecurity tools such as endpoint detection, SASE, and SIEM platforms.
- Experience with an analytics or business intelligence platform.
- Understanding of data privacy considerations and cybersecurity best practices.
- Ability to navigate ambiguity and make quality decisions in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to work independently, plan workloads, and deliver on commitments.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and strong interpersonal abilities.
- Experience managing competing priorities, including urgent drop-in tasks.
- Technical aptitude with the ability to translate technical concepts into practical business language.
- Disciplined execution, including following and contributing to security operation processes and procedures.
- Learning agility with the ability to grasp both business and technical subject matters.
- Ability to build rapport and gain cooperation from technical and business personnel.
- Minimum 1 year of experience delivering information security operations.
- Associate degree or equivalent years of experience.
- Industry certifications related to information security, networking, or other IT disciplines.
- Experience operating in a global enterprise environment.
