Job Description

Metropolitan Water District of Salt Lake & Sandy is seeking a full-time Cybersecurity Administrator (onsite) to strengthen day-to-day security operations. This position supports threat and vulnerability management, incident response, network defense, endpoint protection, and data security, with an emphasis on continuously improving the organization’s security posture alongside cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the success of the IT Department through hands-on cybersecurity operations.
  • Contribute to day-to-day threat and vulnerability management, incident response, network defense, endpoint protection, and data security activities.
  • Architect, evaluate, and optimize the organization’s security posture while collaborating with cross-functional teams to address emerging threats.

Required Qualifications

  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with integrity.
  • Experience aligning security initiatives with business objectives, risk tolerance, and industry trends.
  • A positive, team-focused attitude.
  • First-hand knowledge of incident response, network defense, and endpoint protection.
  • Valid state driver’s license.

Education and Experience

Bachelor’s degree in cybersecurity, computer science, or a closely related field, along with four (4) years of progressively responsible experience in planning, deployment, and administration of cybersecurity technologies. An equivalent combination of education and experience may also be considered.

Compensation

Salary range: USD 77,000 - 100,000 per year.
