Cybersecurity Administrator
Job Description
The Cybersecurity Administrator role supports Singing River Health System by protecting the organization’s cybersecurity infrastructure on site in Pascagoula, MS. The position focuses on managing security tooling, enforcing policies, conducting risk assessments, coordinating incident responses, and training staff to maintain HIPAA-compliant data protection.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and safeguard the organization’s digital infrastructure against a range of cyber threats.
- Administer and operate security technologies including antivirus/EDR, intrusion detection systems, data loss prevention, and SOC/SIEM, along with related tools.
- Protect sensitive medical and personal data in alignment with healthcare regulations such as HIPAA.
- Perform regular risk assessments and security reviews to identify and address vulnerabilities.
- Respond to cybersecurity incidents and coordinate remediation efforts.
- Enforce security policies across the organization to maintain a consistent security posture.
- Provide cybersecurity training and awareness for staff to promote best practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience accepted in lieu of formal education.
- Minimum of one year of IT cybersecurity experience.
- Knowledge of TCP/IP, routing, VPN, LAN/WAN topologies, and wireless technologies.

Shift
Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm

Physical Demands
- Work is moderately active, primarily seated with frequent movement within the office and between SRHS facilities.
- Requires the ability to lift, carry, push or pull light to moderate weights as needed.
- Possible exposure to body fluids, sputum, and tissues with potential infectious disease hazards.
- Involves repetitive motions of wrists, hands, and fingers from keyboard use.
- Requires the ability to perceive sounds at normal levels and distinguish audio cues.
- Requires near and intermediate vision to compare data on screens and printed materials.
- Must be capable of extended periods of activity without undue fatigue.
- Flexibility to work scheduled shifts and adapt to changes based on hospital needs.
