Job Description
FCS Financial is seeking a Cyber Security Analyst to help protect its digital environment by detecting threats, investigating incidents, strengthening security controls, and supporting the organization’s Information Security Program.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and investigate security events across networks, systems, cloud environments, and endpoints.
- Identify, analyze, and respond to cybersecurity threats and incidents.
- Conduct incident triage and vulnerability management, including access reviews and security troubleshooting activities.
- Use threat intelligence and security monitoring tools to strengthen organizational defenses.
- Support penetration testing, security audits, security control implementation, and compliance initiatives.
- Recommend and implement security improvements that reduce risk and enhance resiliency.
- Contribute to security policies, business continuity planning, and disaster recovery efforts.
- Work with the CISO and technology teams to advance the organization’s cybersecurity strategy.
- Stay current with emerging security alerts and issues.
- Receive and analyze network alerts from enterprise sources, determine probable causes, and recommend resolution actions.
- Monitor and interpret server logs, firewall logs, intrusion detection logs, and network traffic for suspicious activity.
- Design, implement, and report on security system and end user activity audits.
- Collaborate with technology partners to operate technical systems and monitor unusual or suspicious activity across products, data centers, and cloud systems.
- Correlate incident data to identify vulnerabilities and enable expeditious remediation.
- Investigate security exceptions and administer incident response procedures, coordinating with internal personnel or external agencies as needed.
- Perform cyber defense incident triage, including determining scope, urgency, potential impact, identifying vulnerabilities, and making remediation recommendations.
- Recommend and schedule fixes, security patches, disaster recovery procedures, and other breach-response measures.
- Track and document cyber defense incidents from initial detection through final resolution.
- Support CISO coordination of incident response functions.
- Assess systems and solutions to ensure they can defend the business against new threats.
- Support CISO efforts to implement cybersecurity-enabled products and compensating security controls to reduce risk to an acceptable level.
- Analyze cyber defense policies and configurations and evaluate compliance with regulations and organizational directives.
- Conduct and/or support authorized penetration testing on enterprise network assets.
- Prepare audit reports identifying technical and procedural findings and recommended remediation strategies.
- Perform technical and non-technical risk and vulnerability assessments for relevant focus areas such as cloud, local computing environments, network and infrastructure, supporting infrastructure, and applications.
- Participate in planning and design of enterprise security architecture under direction of the CISO and VP of Technical Operations, where appropriate.
- Participate in creation of enterprise security documents (policies, standards, baselines, guidelines, and procedures) under direction of the CISO, where appropriate.
- Participate in planning and design of enterprise Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery plans under direction of the CISO, where appropriate.
- Recommend additional security solutions or enhancements to existing security solutions.
- Participate in the design and execution of vulnerability assessments, penetration tests, and security audits.
- Recommend data security policies, procedures, standards, and practices to minimize breach risk and support timely detection and containment.

Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Systems, Security Management, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Five or more years of cybersecurity, information security, or related experience.
- Experience with incident response, threat detection, vulnerability management, and security monitoring.
- Knowledge of endpoint monitoring, email security, vulnerability scanning, and threat intelligence platforms.
- Understanding of cloud, network, and infrastructure security best practices.
- Strong analytical, investigative, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to assess risk, prioritize threats, and communicate recommendations effectively.

- GCIA
- GCIH
- GMON
- Or similar cybersecurity certifications

Compensation
- USD 88,000 to USD 150,000 per year
- Based on experience, the base pay for this position is $88,000 to $150,000
