DataAnnotation seeks an experienced Cloud Security Engineer - AI Trainer to support the evaluation and improvement of AI systems focused on cybersecurity. This is a fully remote contract opportunity with flexible scheduling, centered on reviewing AI-generated security content and solving security-oriented technical challenges.

Role Overview

You will help train AI models by assessing the real-world accuracy and security relevance of AI-produced cybersecurity material. The work also includes designing and resolving technical problems that support AI training, along with writing security-focused explanations and code that improve model performance over time.

Key Responsibilities

Evaluate AI-generated cybersecurity content, including threat analysis, vulnerability assessments, and offensive security techniques, with an emphasis on real-world validity.
Design and solve security-focused technical problems used to train AI systems.
Produce clear technical explanations and security-relevant code to support training outputs.
Deliver feedback that directly influences the next generation of AI security models.

Required Qualifications

2+ years of hands-on experience in a cybersecurity role, such as penetration testing, red teaming, incident response, detection engineering, DFIR, malware analysis, threat intelligence, or related work. Government or military cyber operations experience is also acceptable.
Some coding experience is required, including comfort navigating and patching a codebase.
English fluency at native or bilingual level, with strong writing skills.

Preferred Qualifications

A bachelor’s degree is preferred.
Cybersecurity certifications are a plus, including OSCP, CRTO, GREM, GCFA, CEH, or similar credentials.
