Job Description

Northrop Grumman Classified Solutions CIDO is seeking a Classified Cybersecurity Analyst at level 3 or level 4 to support information systems lifecycle activities. This is an on-site, full-time position supporting classified programs with TS/SCI access requirements and eligibility for a counterintelligence polygraph. The role includes split time between Redondo Beach, CA and Manhattan Beach, CA.

In this position, you will help evaluate security posture through auditing and continuous monitoring, support Assessment and Authorization (A&A) activities, and contribute to Security Test and Evaluation (ST&E) preparations and reporting. The work is performed in a classified environment with documentation and evidence generation aligned to the Risk Management Framework (RMF).

Responsibilities

  • Conduct system audits and continuous monitoring across security controls, configurations, and operational processes to assess the security posture of information systems.
  • Assess systems and networks within a networking environment or enclave and identify deviations from acceptable configurations, enclave policy, or local policy.
  • Analyze security requirements to validate established requirements and recommend additional security requirements and safeguards.
  • Support implementation of required government policy, including recommendations on process tailoring, and participate in and document process activities.
  • Establish strict program control processes to mitigate risk and support A&A, including process support, analysis, coordination, security certification testing, security documentation, investigations, software research, hardware introduction and release, emerging technology research, inspections, and periodic audits.
  • Support formal Security Test and Evaluation (ST&E) efforts, including pre-test preparations, test participation, analysis of results, and preparation of required reports for each government accrediting authority.
  • Document A&A results and related technical or coordination activities, and prepare Risk Management Framework body of evidence.

Requirements

  • Clearance type: SCI
  • Candidates must have a U.S. Government Top Secret clearance to include SCI access level eligibility at a minimum.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Counter Intelligence Polygraph as a condition of continued employment.
  • Meet U.S. Government 8140 requirements (8570 equivalent) for Principal Classified Cybersecurity Analyst – IAM level I certification or higher (for level 3). Examples include Security+, CND, Cloud+, CAP or CGRC, CASP+ or CompTIA Security X, GSLC, CISSP-Associate, CISM, CISSP, GSLC, CCISO.
  • Meet U.S. Government 8140 requirements (8570 equivalent) for Sr Principal Classified Cybersecurity Analyst – IAM level III certification at a minimum (for level 4). Examples include CISM, CISSP, GSLC, CCISO.
  • Education and experience for level 3: Master’s degree with 3 years of relevant technical experience; or Bachelor’s degree with 5 years; or Associate’s degree with 7 years; or High School Diploma/GED with 9 years.
  • Education and experience for level 4: Master’s degree with 6 years of relevant technical experience; or Bachelor’s degree with 8 years; or Associate’s degree with 10 years; or High School Diploma/GED with 12 years.
  • Selected candidate will be required to work on-site, full-time at the Redondo Beach, CA location.
  • Role requires split time between the Redondo Beach and Manhattan Beach sites in California.

Salary

  • Primary level salary range: $114,000.00 - $171,000.00
  • Secondary level salary range: $142,200.00 - $213,400.00

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity or related field
  • IAM Level III (e.g., CISM or CISSP)
  • Experience in cybersecurity compliance (e.g., Assessment & Authorization under RMF)
  • Knowledge of security tools such as ACAS, Nessus, Splunk, Trellix, and SCAP
  • Knowledge of security frameworks and documentation such as NIST, JSIG, SSPs, POA&Ms, and SCTMs
  • TS/SCI with a CI-Polygraph
