Associate Cybersecurity Analyst

The Associate Classified Cybersecurity Analyst will support the information system lifecycle for the Northrop Grumman CIDO Classified Solutions team. This is a full-time, on-site role in West Virginia requiring a U.S. Government Secret clearance and support for continuous monitoring and Assessment and Authorization (A&A) activities.

Role Overview

In this position, you will help conduct security assessments, support government-required processes for A&A and Security Test and Evaluation (ST&E), and contribute to the Risk Management Framework (RMF) evidence package. Work is performed under strict program control processes within classified environments.

Responsibilities

• Conduct system audits and continuous monitoring across security controls, configurations, and operational processes to evaluate the security posture of information systems.
• Assess systems and networks in a networking environment or enclave and identify deviations from acceptable configurations, enclave policy, or local policy.
• Analyze security requirements to validate established requirements and recommend additional requirements and safeguards.
• Assist with implementation of required government policy, support process tailoring recommendations, and participate in and document process activities.
• Support mitigation of risks and the A&A of systems by working within program control processes, including process support, analysis, coordination, security certification testing, security documentation, investigations, software research, hardware introduction and release, emerging-technology research, inspections, and periodic audits.
• Support formal Security Test and Evaluation (ST&E) activities required by government accrediting authorities, including pre-test preparations, test participation, analysis of results, and preparation of required reports.
• Document A&A results and technical or coordination activities and prepare the Risk Management Framework body of evidence.

Requirements

• Degree and experience requirement: Master’s or Bachelor’s degree with 0 years of experience, OR Associate’s degree with 2 years of experience, OR High School Diploma/GED with 4 years of experience.
• Must meet U.S. Government 8140 requirements for an Associate Cybersecurity Analyst and be able to obtain them within 6 months of the start date (example: Security+).
• Must have a current U.S. Government Secret security clearance (at a minimum), including a closed investigation date completed within the last 6 years, OR be enrolled in the U.S. Government Continuous Evaluation (CE) Program.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain access to Special Access Programs as a condition of continued employment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity or related field
• Security+ CE
• Experience in cybersecurity compliance (e.g., Assessment & Authorization under RMF)
• Top Secret, SAP/SAR access, SCI access, and/or a Polygraph
• Knowledge of security tools such as ACAS, Nessus, Splunk, Trellix, and SCAP
• Knowledge of security frameworks and documentation such as NIST, JSIG, DAAG, SSPs, POA&Ms, and SCTMs
