Job Description

Northrop Grumman’s CIDO Classified Solutions team is hiring an Associate Classified Cybersecurity Analyst to support information system lifecycle activities on-site in Huntsville, AL. This full-time role focuses on helping teams strengthen security posture through audits, continuous monitoring, assessments, and Risk Management Framework (RMF) evidence across classified environments.

What you’ll do

  • Conduct system audits and continuous monitoring across security controls, configurations, and operational processes to evaluate information system security posture.
  • Perform assessments of systems and networks in the networking environment or enclave, identifying deviations from acceptable configurations, enclave policy, or local policy.
  • Validate security requirements through analysis, and recommend additional requirements and safeguards.
  • Support implementation of required government policy, including recommendations for process tailoring and participation in documenting process activities.
  • Work within program control processes to help mitigate risk and support Assessment and Authorization (A&A), including process support, analysis, coordination, security certification testing, security documentation, investigations, software research, hardware introduction and release, emerging-technology research, inspections, and periodic audits.
  • Support Security Test and Evaluation (ST&E) required by government accrediting authorities, including pre-test preparation, test participation, analysis of results, and preparation of required reports.
  • Document A&A results and related technical or coordination activities, and prepare the RMF body of evidence.

Required qualifications

  • Master’s or Bachelor’s degree with 0 years of experience; OR Associate’s degree with 2 years of experience; OR High School Diploma/GED with 4 years of experience.
  • Must meet U.S. Government 8140 requirements for Associate Classified Cybersecurity Analyst – Security+.
  • Must have a current U.S. Government Secret security clearance (minimum), including a closed investigation date completed within the last 6 years, or be enrolled in the U.S. Government Continuous Evaluation (CE) Program.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain access to Special Access Programs as a condition of continued employment.

Helpful experience and knowledge

  • Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity or related field
  • Security+ CE
  • Experience in cybersecurity compliance, such as Assessment & Authorization under RMF
  • Top Secret, SAP/SAR access, SCI access, and/or a Polygraph
  • Knowledge of security tools including ACAS, Nessus, Splunk, Trellix, and SCAP
  • Knowledge of frameworks and documentation such as NIST, JSIG, DAAG, SSPs, POA&Ms, and SCTMs
