Application Security Engineer - AI Trainer
Job Description
Work fully remote and help improve how AI systems handle real cybersecurity threats. This contract role supports AI training by reviewing and strengthening cybersecurity-focused content, providing feedback that influences how AI models reason about threats and defenses. You’ll work on your own computer with a schedule you control.
What you’ll do
- Review AI-generated cybersecurity content, including threat analysis, vulnerability assessments, and offensive security techniques, to verify real-world accuracy and validity.
- Design and solve security-focused technical problems used to train AI systems.
- Write clear technical explanations and security-relevant code.
- Provide feedback that directly shapes the next generation of AI security models.
What you bring
- 2+ years of hands-on experience in a cybersecurity role, such as penetration testing, red teaming, incident response, detection engineering, DFIR, malware analysis, threat intelligence, or adjacent work, including government or military cyber operations.
- Coding experience is required, with comfort navigating and patching a codebase.
- Fluency in English (native or bilingual) and strong writing skills.
- A bachelor’s degree is preferred.
- Cybersecurity certifications are a plus, such as OSCP, CRTO, GREM, GCFA, CEH, or similar.
