Adjunct Instructor Information Technology - Cybersecurity

Macomb Community College is seeking an Adjunct Instructor to teach Information Technology - Cybersecurity on-site in Clinton Township, MI. The role supports course delivery, maintains learning materials in the College’s Learning Management System (LMS), and contributes to accreditation-related activities and course evaluation.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver instruction in predefined subject matter as assigned by the department.
• Maintain course materials in the College’s Learning Management System (LMS), including announcements, the syllabus, and the gradebook.
• Update the gradebook regularly and submit final grades by published deadlines.
• Participate in and cooperate with the department and Academic and Workforce Education to meet accreditation standards.
• Assist with facilitating student clinical and or lab experiences as assigned and applicable.
• Participate in course assessments designed to measure achievement of student learning outcomes as assigned.
• Complete training for required instructional delivery modalities.
• Maintain faculty credentials as required by the College’s accrediting agencies.
• Attend Faculty Development Days and/or Institutional Development Days as schedule permits and applicable.
• Participate in Academic and Workforce Education committees as schedule permits.
• Perform other duties as assigned in compliance with the AAFMCC collective bargaining agreement.

Required Qualifications

• 3 years information systems security experience.
• Networking experience, including hands-on networking experience.
• Knowledge and experience with security policy, devices, and strategies; or industry certification and/or professional training.
• 3 years information systems security (Cybersecurity) experience.
• Knowledge and experience with security policy, devices, and strategies; or industry certification.

Preferred Certifications

• CompTIA Sec+
• CISSP
• NMap Wireshark
• Kali Linux

Education Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, information technology, or a related field, with at least two (2) years of full-time, non-teaching work experience in a relevant field; or
• Associate’s degree in business administration, information technology, or a related field, with at least five (5) years of full-time, non-teaching work experience in a relevant field and an industry recognized credential.

Compensation and Location

Location: Clinton Township, MI (onsite).
Pay: USD 988 - 1,203 per hourly.
