Odyssey Consulting is seeking an Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS) Cybersecurity Engineer to support the Air Operation Center (AOC) cybersecurity team at Hanscom AFB. The role focuses on implementing, maintaining, and operating the ACAS toolset, including Nessus scanning and compliance assessment and reporting activities.

USD 150,000 - 175,000 per year
Role Focus
Support the AOC cybersecurity mission by administering the ACAS environment, assisting with vulnerability scanning workflows, and helping produce compliance and vulnerability reporting aligned to applicable standards and internal security policies.
Responsibilities
- Assist with the installation, configuration, and maintenance of ACAS components, including Nessus scanners, SecurityCenter/Tenable.sc, and Nessus Network Monitor (NNM)/Tenable.asm.
- Assist with scheduling and executing vulnerability scans using Nessus scanners.
- Analyze scan results to identify vulnerabilities and misconfigurations.
- Assist with compliance assessments against DoW standards and internal security policies.
- Generate reports covering vulnerability status, compliance posture, and remediation progress.
- Collaborate with system administrators to support vulnerability remediation efforts.
- Assist with system administration tasks for ACAS servers and databases.
- Stay current on evolving vulnerability trends and emerging security threats.
Required Qualifications
- US citizenship
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Level Clearance
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field
- 5-7 years of experience in cybersecurity or a related field
- IAM Level III Certification (Certified Information Systems Security Professional / Certified Information Security Officer)
- Basic understanding of networking concepts and protocols
- Familiarity with Windows and Linux operating systems
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Compensation Note: Final compensation will be determined based on Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant experience, specific skills and competencies, geographic location, education, and certifications.
