Sr. Network Security Analyst

The Sr. Network Security Analyst role at Landstar System Holdings, Inc. focuses on investigating security event data, identifying potential threats, and supporting the ongoing development of IT security compliance policies and procedures.

Location and Work Arrangement

Jacksonville, FL (hybrid). The schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with one week on call rotation.

Core Responsibilities

• Investigate and analyze system logs and security event data to identify potential threats.
• Evaluate systems and applications for vulnerabilities by scanning for risks and providing solutions.
• Implement and maintain security tools designed to protect against cyber threats.
• Partner with other IT teams to support secure configuration and system integrity.
• Produce detailed security-related reports that include trends and metrics.
• Remain current on security enhancements and recommend improvements to IT system owners.
• Implement and support security solutions managed by the IT Security Team.
• Assist with creating and modifying IT security policies and procedures, supporting compliance with industry standards.
• Collaborate with business units to meet cybersecurity requirements in contractual agreements.

Required Qualifications

• 3 years of experience as an IT Security Analyst or Network Engineer.
• Associate degree (A.A.) from a two-year college or technical school, or equivalent experience.
• 1 year experience with API development.
• 1 year experience in a Security Operations Center (SOC) environment.
• Proven expertise in analyzing system logs and identifying security threats.
• Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles and practices.

Preferred Qualifications

• Relevant security certifications are highly preferred, such as CISSP, CISM, or CEH.
