Job Description

Solutions Development Corporation is hiring a Sr. Cybersecurity Engineer for an onsite role in the King George, VA area (NSWCDD, Dahlgren VA). In this position, you will help strengthen combat systems cybersecurity through requirements, system engineering, risk assessment, and mitigation planning, with work spanning multiple classification levels. A TS clearance is required, and SCI is strongly desired. Responsibilities

  • Develop cybersecurity requirements, policy standards, best practices, and guidance and procedures for combat systems.
  • Support DoD cyber assurance and policy efforts by conducting cybersecurity research, analysis, and coordination across multiple classification levels.
  • Lead working groups to craft cybersecurity strategies addressing emerging threats.
  • Analyze cybersecurity, intelligence, and information technology policy gaps for combat systems.
  • Perform cybersecurity system engineering design, analysis, and documentation for combat systems.
  • Build cybersecurity risk assessment analysis and develop risk mitigation plans for combat systems.
  • Create and maintain documentation including cybersecurity requirements, gap analysis, threat analysis, system engineering, and risk assessment and mitigation artifacts.
  • Develop or apply MBSE models to conduct cybersecurity analysis.

Requirements

  • Five (5) years program specific security engineering experience working with Navy afloat/tactical combat systems, or ten (10) years general security engineering experience.
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity concepts, military system specifications, and DoD IA policies for both land based and afloat/tactical systems.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and succinctly in written and oral presentations.
  • Minimum certification as IAT Level II or higher per DoD 8570.01 (or successor).
  • CASP+ CE (renamed to SecurityX).
  • NQV would be nice.
