Special Agent: Cybersecurity/Technology Expertise

Leverage your cybersecurity and technology expertise to investigate potential violations of federal laws that impact cybersecurity and public safety. This onsite, full-time role involves conducting investigations, coordinating with law enforcement partners across jurisdictions, and maintaining readiness for law enforcement duties.

Role Overview

As an FBI Special Agent, you will use your technical background to plan and conduct investigations related to federal law, cybersecurity, and public safety. The position also requires establishing and sustaining liaison relationships with law enforcement agencies and maintaining physical fitness for law enforcement responsibilities.

Compensation

• Salary: USD 103,326 - 133,200 per year
• Salary basis: Commensurate with base, locality, and availability pay
• Salary level range: $103,326.00–$133,200.00

Responsibilities

• Plan and conduct investigations of potential violations of federal laws, cybersecurity, and public safety.
• Apply judgment, resourcefulness, and versatility to meet investigative demands.
• Create and maintain effective liaison relationships with federal, state, local, tribal, territorial, and international law enforcement agencies.
• Maintain physical fitness to support readiness required for law enforcement duties.

Required Qualifications

• Must be a U.S. citizen.
• Must be able to obtain a Top Secret Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) Clearance.
• Must be willing to travel as required.
• Must meet the FBI’s Employment Eligibility requirements.

Education

Candidates must have a bachelor’s degree or higher, preferably in computer science, engineering, data science, information technology, or a related field, from a U.S. accredited college or university.
