Job Description

Join the Federal Bureau of Investigation as a Special Agent where cybersecurity and technology expertise directly supports investigations that protect public safety. This Indianapolis, IN onsite role centers on examining potential violations of federal laws, with a specific focus on cybersecurity-related matters and related public safety concerns.

In this position, you will plan and conduct investigative activity, apply judgment and adaptability to meet investigative demands, and work to strengthen coordination across law enforcement partners. The role also requires eligibility to obtain a Top Secret Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) Clearance and the physical readiness needed to perform law enforcement duties.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and conduct investigations into potential violations of federal laws, cybersecurity, and public safety.
  • Apply judgment, resourcefulness, and versatility to address investigative demands.
  • Develop and maintain effective liaison relationships with federal, state, local, tribal, territorial, and international law enforcement agencies.
  • Maintain a level of physical fitness required to perform law enforcement duties.

Requirements

  • Must be a U.S. citizen.
  • Must be able to obtain a Top Secret SCI Clearance.
  • Must be willing to travel as required.
  • Must meet the FBI’s Employment Eligibility requirements.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher (preferably in computer science, engineering, data science, information technology, or a related field).

Compensation

  • Pay level: $103,326.00–$133,200.00 per year.
  • Salary is commensurate with base, locality, and availability pay.
