Special Agent: Cybersecurity/Technology Expertise
Job Description
Leverage a cybersecurity and technology background to serve as an FBI Special Agent focused on investigations tied to cybersecurity and public safety. This onsite role in Mobile, AL combines specialized training with hands-on investigative work to address matters that may involve national security threats.
Role Overview
As a Special Agent, you will use your expertise in cybersecurity to conduct investigations and support public safety objectives. The position includes specialized training and real-world investigative experience, with duties that require handling complex threats where cybersecurity capabilities are essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and conduct investigations involving potential violations of federal laws, cybersecurity matters, and public safety concerns.
- Apply judgment, resourcefulness, and versatility to meet investigative demands.
- Develop and maintain effective liaison relationships with federal, state, local, tribal, territorial, and international law enforcement agencies.
- Maintain a level of physical fitness to support readiness for law enforcement duties.
Required Qualifications
- Must be a U.S. citizen.
- Must be able to obtain a Top Secret Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) Clearance.
- Must be willing to travel as required.
- Must meet the FBI Employment Eligibility requirements.
- Must have a bachelor’s degree or higher (preferably in computer science, engineering, data science, information technology, or a related field) from a U.S. accredited college or university.
Salary and Work Location
This is a full-time position with a pay range of USD 103,326 to 133,200 per year. Salary is commensurate with base, locality, and availability pay. The work location is onsite in Mobile, AL and includes on the road duties.
Education
Candidates must have a bachelor’s degree or higher (preferably in one of the listed technology fields) from a U.S. accredited college or university.
