Job Description
FBI Special Agent role in Springfield, IL combines investigative duties with cybersecurity and technology expertise onsite, with eligibility for a Top Secret Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) Clearance.
Responsibilities
- Plan and conduct investigations into potential violations of federal laws, cybersecurity incidents, and public safety concerns, coordinating evidence collection and case development as needed.
- Exercise sound judgment, resourcefulness, and versatility to meet evolving investigative demands across cyber and traditional domains.
- Establish and maintain robust liaison relationships with federal, state, local, tribal, territorial, and international law enforcement partners to support information sharing and joint operations.
- Maintain physical fitness to meet the readiness requirements for law enforcement duties.
Requirements
- Must be a U.S. citizen.
- Must be able to obtain a Top Secret Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) Clearance.
- Must be willing to travel as required.
- Must meet the FBI’s Employment Eligibility requirements.
