Job Description

The Federal Bureau of Investigation seeks a Special Agent who brings cybersecurity and technology expertise to the investigative process, combining technical analysis with traditional law enforcement duties to counter cyber threats and support national security.

Role Summary

This position centers on integrating cybersecurity acumen with investigative responsibilities. The role emphasizes ongoing upskilling, collaboration with federal and international partners, and access to cutting edge technology to drive effective investigations and threat mitigation.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and conduct investigations into potential violations of federal laws, cybersecurity incidents, and public safety concerns.
  • Exercise sound judgment, resourcefulness, and versatility to meet investigative demands.
  • Develop and maintain effective liaison relationships with federal, state, local, tribal, territorial, and international law enforcement agencies.
  • Maintain a level of physical fitness required to perform law enforcement duties.

Requirements

  • Must be a U.S. citizen.
  • Must be able to obtain a Top Secret Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) Clearance.
  • Must be willing to travel as required.
  • Must meet the FBI’s Employment Eligibility requirements.

Salary

Pay level for this position: $103,326.00–$133,200.00. Salary is commensurate with base, locality, and availability pay.
