Job Description

The Federal Bureau of Investigation seeks a Special Agent with cybersecurity and technology expertise to perform investigations while engaging in advanced cyber and information security work. This onsite role is based in Mobile, Alabama, with an annual salary range of $103,326 to $133,200. Candidates must be U.S. citizens and able to obtain Top Secret SCI clearance, with travel and field duties anticipated.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and conduct investigations into potential violations of federal law, cybersecurity incidents, and public safety concerns.
  • Apply judgment, resourcefulness, and versatility to meet investigative demands.
  • Establish and maintain effective liaison relationships with federal, state, local, tribal, territorial, and international law enforcement partners.
  • Maintain the level of physical fitness required to perform law enforcement duties.

Requirements

  • U.S. citizenship is required.
  • Ability to obtain Top Secret Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) clearance.
  • Willingness to travel as needed.
  • Compliance with the FBI’s Employment Eligibility requirements.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree or higher.
