Special Agent: Cybersecurity/Technology Expertise
Job Description
The Federal Bureau of Investigation seeks a Special Agent with strong cybersecurity and technology acumen to investigate cyber and related offenses. The role includes formal training, hands-on investigative work, and opportunities for professional growth within a federal law enforcement framework.
Responsibilities
- Plan and conduct investigations into potential violations of federal laws, cybersecurity incidents, and public safety concerns.
- Apply sound judgment, resourcefulness, and versatility to meet investigative demands.
- Develop and maintain effective liaison relationships with federal, state, local, tribal, territorial, and international law enforcement agencies.
- Maintain physical fitness appropriate for law enforcement duties and readiness.
Requirements
- Must be a U.S. citizen.
- Must be able to obtain a Top Secret Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) Clearance.
- Must be willing to travel as required.
- Must meet the FBI’s Employment Eligibility requirements.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree or higher.
Location and Compensation
- Location: San Diego, CA (onsite).
- Salary: USD 103,326 to 133,200 per year.
