Job Description

The Federal Bureau of Investigation is seeking a Special Agent with cybersecurity and technology expertise to investigate cyber threats and support national security. The role involves specialized training, investigative work, and collaboration with professionals addressing national security challenges, based onsite in Louisville, Kentucky.

Bachelor’s degree or higher

Salary

Salary range USD 103,326 to 133,200 per year. Compensation is commensurate with base, locality, and availability pay.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and conduct investigations into potential violations of federal laws, cybersecurity, and public safety.
  • Apply judgment, resourcefulness, and versatility to meet investigative demands.
  • Develop and maintain effective liaison relationships with federal, state, local, tribal, territorial, and international law enforcement agencies.
  • Maintain a level of physical fitness necessary to perform law enforcement duties.

Requirements

  • Must be a U.S. citizen.
  • Must be able to obtain a Top Secret Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) Clearance.
  • Must be willing to travel as required.
  • Must meet the FBI’s Employment Eligibility requirements.
