Special Agent: Cybersecurity/Technology Expertise

Based in Boston, MA, the FBI is seeking a Special Agent who will apply cybersecurity and technology expertise to investigations of federal cyber threats and related public safety concerns. This onsite role combines rigorous training with real-world casework and clear opportunities for professional growth within a mission-driven organization. The work centers on protecting the public while expanding investigative capabilities in the cyber domain.

Responsibilities

• Plan and conduct investigations of potential violations of federal laws, cybersecurity, and public safety.
• Demonstrate judgment, resourcefulness, and versatility to meet investigative demands.
• Develop and maintain effective liaison relationships with federal, state, local, tribal, territorial, and international law enforcement agencies.
• Maintain the physical fitness level required to fulfill law enforcement duties.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Must be a U.S. citizen.
• Must be able to obtain a Top Secret Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) Clearance.
• Must be willing to travel as required.
• Must meet the FBI’s Employment Eligibility requirements.
• Education: Bachelor's degree or higher.

Salary and compensation

• Pay level for this position: $103,326.00–$133,200.00 per year.
• Salary is commensurate with base, locality, and availability pay.
