In Billings, Montana, the FBI seeks a Special Agent who blends cybersecurity and information technology expertise with investigative rigor. This on-site role sits at the intersection of threat detection, cyber investigations, and collaboration with partner agencies to safeguard national security and protect critical systems. The position supports a mission to strengthen public safety through proactive analysis and law enforcement operations.

Responsibilities

Plan and conduct investigations into potential violations of federal laws, cybersecurity incidents, and public safety concerns.
Exercise judgment, resourcefulness, and versatility to meet investigative demands.
Create and maintain effective liaison relationships with federal, state, local, tribal, territorial, and international law enforcement partners.
Maintain the physical fitness required to perform law enforcement duties.

Requirements

U.S. citizenship
Ability to obtain a Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) Clearance
Willingness to travel as required
Meets the FBI’s Employment Eligibility requirements
Master’s degree or higher from a U.S. accredited college or university

Salary

Pay range: $103,236.00 – $133,200.00 per year. Salary is commensurate with base pay, locality, and availability pay.
