Job Description
Join a hands-on security engineering team in Pasadena, CA, working to build and evolve SIEM capabilities for a financial services environment.
Responsibilities
- Build and continuously improve the organization’s SIEM infrastructure
- Strengthen log collection, detection, and alerting workflows
- Support data protection capabilities, aligned to security and compliance needs
- Investigate security incidents across cloud, network, and endpoint environments
- Collaborate with application and infrastructure teams to support security objectives
- Translate security metrics into clear reporting for stakeholders
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in security engineering, with strong focus on operating and improving SIEM platforms
- Experience engineering logging infrastructure, including ingestion, performance, and tuning correlation rules and alerts
- Hands-on Linux skills plus practical scripting or automation to improve security operations
- Experience with DLP, data classification, or DSPM, along with knowledge of network, firewall, and endpoint security
- Ability to investigate incidents, partner with application and infrastructure teams, and translate security metrics into clear reporting
