Job Description

Join Fervo Energy onsite in Houston, TX to help harden operational technology (OT) environments through technical controls, monitoring, and defensible security evidence.

Responsibilities

  • Strengthen the security and resilience of Fervo’s operational technology environments.
  • Collaborate with Operations, OT and controls engineering, project delivery, IT, enterprise cybersecurity, compliance, legal, and third parties to convert OT security program objectives into durable technical controls, operating processes, and defensible evidence.
  • Evaluate OT architectures and data flows to identify security gaps and improvement opportunities.
  • Support secure commissioning activities and change management processes.
  • Improve asset and configuration visibility across OT environments.
  • Govern remote access and vendor access for OT systems.
  • Develop monitoring capabilities and enhance incident-response readiness for OT.
  • Maintain risk and remediation records to support ongoing governance and follow-through.

Requirements

  • Experience applying NIST SP 800-82 Rev. 3.
  • Familiarity with IEC 62443.
  • Knowledge of NERC CIP governance.
