Senior Cybersecurity Analyst

Claris Consulting Inc. is hiring a Senior Cybersecurity Analyst (hybrid) to support cybersecurity consulting engagements in Honolulu, with guidance from a Cybersecurity Technical Lead and senior leadership.

Responsibilities

• Own and execute client engagement tasks with guidance, including vulnerability assessments, security reviews, and penetration testing
• Perform security testing across networks, systems, cloud, and applications
• Analyze vulnerability scan results, validate security findings, and refine technical conclusions
• Support cybersecurity risk and control assessments
• Assist incident response and participate in security investigations
• Research vulnerabilities, emerging threats, and other relevant security issues
• Produce clear technical documentation: findings, remediation recommendations, and client deliverables
• Support CISO and vCISO engagements
• Contribute to assessments aligned to NIST, CIS, RMF, and other security frameworks
• Participate in client meetings and communicate technical results
• Assist the Cybersecurity Technical Lead with project delivery
• Help mentor junior analysts as the team grows

Requirements

• Approximately 2–5 years of cybersecurity, security engineering, IT security, or technical risk experience
• Strong understanding of networking, Windows/Linux systems, and cybersecurity fundamentals
• Familiarity with vulnerability scanning and common cybersecurity tools
• Ability to analyze technical security issues and document findings clearly
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently on assigned tasks while collaborating with senior team members
• Authorized to work in the U.S.

Strongly Preferred

• Hawaii-based candidate
• Consulting, professional services, government, or defense experience
• CISSP certification or actively working toward CISSP
• Other relevant certifications such as Security+, CySA+, CISA, CCNA, CEH, GPEN, or similar
• Experience with penetration testing or vulnerability assessment tools
• Familiarity with NIST, CIS Controls, RMF, FedRAMP, or similar frameworks
• Government or defense client experience
• Active or previously held U.S. security clearance, or eligibility to obtain one
