Senior Cyber Systems Engineer (Enterprise Network Cybersecurity)

Based in Orlando, Florida, this onsite Senior Cyber Systems Engineer role offers a path to help shape security strategy across Universal Destinations & Experiences. You will partner with cyber security teams and UDX stakeholders to guide secure design, development, and deployment across a broad range of technology stacks. As a member of the Cyber Security Assurance team, you will act as a strategic expert, identify gaps, and strengthen the organization’s security posture. The role emphasizes mentorship, cross‑team collaboration, and contributing to communities of excellence. Occasional travel to NBCUniversal parks may be required, with regular on‑call rotations and potential after‑hours commitments to meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Advise across UDX on secure design, implementation, and deployment of systems; review and validate designs as requested by the business; ensure the UDX network remains secure.
• Address complex technical and integration challenges with creative, secure solutions.
• Help establish and evolve security practices for UDX networks using an intelligence and threat‑driven defense model.
• Identify key risks and communicate security posture to senior leadership.
• Foster effective relationships across UDX business units and stakeholders.
• Mentor junior security engineers and architects.
• Contribute to communities of excellence and best practices where appropriate.
• Lead initiatives to ensure the technology vision is realized.
• Collaborate with other cyber security teams to define and document a multi‑year security technology vision and roadmap.
• Participate in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities in line with established policies and training.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or Cyber Security.
• Minimum 7+ years of demonstrated experience in a technical role within a large team, spanning areas such as Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, DevSecOps, Infrastructure, Networking, Cyber Security, or Architecture.

Additional information

• This position is based in Orlando, FL and may require travel to other NBCUniversal parks and properties on occasion.
