Security Engineer I , Stores Security- Healthcare Security

Amazon Healthcare Security (HealthSec) is seeking a Security Engineer to help safeguard Amazon Healthcare services and infrastructure in an onsite role in Seattle, WA.

Responsibilities

• Run security reviews across network architecture, automation tooling, and infrastructure
• Carry out risk assessments and surface security vulnerabilities within security-relevant workflows
• Apply security best practices across network security, identity management, and secure system deployment
• Partner with product development teams to integrate security controls into operational systems
• Assist with security incident investigations related to infrastructure
• Create and maintain security documentation, including threat models, risk assessments, and security guidelines
• Advance security automation work, including monitoring and alerting for key security risks

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience covering web protocols, common security attacks, and remediation (non-internship)
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field
• Knowledge of system security vulnerabilities and remediation approaches, including penetration testing and the development of exploits or equivalent
• Experience solving basic problems by writing code or scripts with some assistance

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with AWS services or other cloud offerings

Compensation

• USD 136,000 - 184,000 per year
