Security Engineer - AI Trainer

The Security Engineer - AI Trainer position supports the development of AI chatbots and models for cybersecurity. You will assess AI-generated security content and contribute to training that improves model reasoning about real-world threats and defenses.

Compensation

• Rate: $50 to $100 USD per hour
• Additional pay: Opportunities for higher bonus rates available for certain projects

Responsibilities

• Review and evaluate AI-generated cybersecurity content, including threat analysis, vulnerability assessments, and offensive security techniques, with a focus on real-world accuracy and validity.
• Design and work through security-focused technical problems used to train AI systems.
• Produce clear technical explanations and security-relevant code.
• Provide feedback that directly influences the next generation of AI security models.

Requirements

• Experience: 2+ years of hands-on cybersecurity experience, such as penetration testing, red teaming, incident response, detection engineering, DFIR, malware analysis, threat intelligence, or adjacent work, including government or military cyber operations.
• Coding: Some coding experience is required; comfort navigating and patching a codebase is important.
• Language: Fluency in English (native or bilingual level) with strong writing skills.
• Education: A bachelor’s degree is preferred.
• Certifications (plus): OSCP, CRTO, GREM, GCFA, CEH, or similar.
