Job Description

In this onsite Security Analyst role at Agile Defense, you will join a team dedicated to securing Navy and DoD systems. Based in China Lake, CA, you will manage RMF documentation, conduct vulnerability analyses, support continuous monitoring, contingency planning, and incident response to uphold robust cybersecurity across critical national defense networks.

Responsibilities

  • Manage RMF documentation and compliance tasks, ensuring accuracy and traceability of all A&A materials in eMASS to support timely system authorization.
  • Verify documentation aligns with DoD, DoW, DoN, and RMF cybersecurity policies and standards.
  • Perform security control assessments and validate a system's technical and non-technical security features to mitigate threats and vulnerabilities, thoroughly identifying impacts and accounting for existing risk mitigations.
  • Ensure timely completion of RMF products and reporting per policy, collaborating with the Security Control Assessor.
  • Assist in updating risk assessment documentation, including Risk Assessment Reports and Plans of Actions & Milestones, based on assessment results.
  • Carry out vulnerability analyses to guide mitigation actions and determine residual risk.
  • Support the continuous monitoring program as needed, particularly when System Level Continuous Monitoring results are essential for ongoing authorization.
  • Assist in contingency planning, testing, and execution as required.
  • Support incident response processes and participate in program team meetings, providing status updates.
  • Requires a strong understanding of the RMF process and working knowledge of eMASS, eMASSter, STIG Viewer, SCAP Compliance Checker (SCC), VRAM, and Visio.
  • Exhibits excellent written and verbal communication to clearly present technical findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently while managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced setting.
  • Prior experience supporting Navy-specific systems or enterprise networks.

Requirements

  • IAM Level II certificate or higher, such as Security+, CAP, CASP+, CCISO, CISM, or CISSP.
  • Ability to obtain a Secret security clearance.
  • Experience planning, implementing, upgrading and/or monitoring security measures protecting corporate or government networks.
  • Prior experience supporting Navy-specific systems or enterprise networks.
  • Strong understanding of the RMF process.
  • Working knowledge of eMASS, eMASSter, STIG Viewer, SCAP Compliance Checker (SCC), VRAM, and Visio.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
