Product Security Engineer - AI Trainer

Shape how secure AI is built. This contract role supports next-generation AI security by training AI models through evaluation of AI-generated cybersecurity content and by helping solve security-focused technical problems that improve model performance. Work can be fully remote, with a flexible schedule and hourly pay ranging from $50 to $100 USD per hour.

Based in Portland, OR (remote), this position is available for candidates located in the US, Canada, UK, Ireland, Australia, and New Zealand. Payment is made via PayPal, and the process will never ask for any money.

What you will do

• Evaluate AI-generated cybersecurity content, including threat analysis, vulnerability assessments, and offensive security techniques, to confirm real-world accuracy and validity.
• Design and solve technical security problems used to train AI systems.
• Write clear technical explanations and provide security-relevant code as part of training inputs.
• Deliver feedback that directly informs and shapes the next generation of AI security models.

What you bring

• 2+ years of hands-on cybersecurity experience in areas such as penetration testing, red teaming, incident response, detection engineering, DFIR, malware analysis, threat intelligence, or adjacent work, including government or military cyber operations.
• Coding experience is required, with comfort navigating and patching a codebase.
• English fluency at native or bilingual level, plus strong writing skills.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Certifications are a plus, such as OSCP, CRTO, GREM, GCFA, CEH, or similar.
