Job Description

GATE Petroleum is hiring an on-site Information Security Analyst to support monitoring, incident response, vulnerability management, and compliance activities in Jacksonville, FL.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor security activity and investigate alerts generated by SIEM and other security tools.
  • Respond to incidents involving phishing, malware, unauthorized access, and related threats; support containment, recovery, and post-incident reviews.
  • Perform vulnerability scans, evaluate results, and track remediation work until issues are resolved.
  • Maintain and update security policies, standards, procedures, and incident documentation.
  • Support security audits and assessments aligned to applicable requirements and frameworks including NIST, ISO 27001, HIPAA, and PCI DSS.
  • Assist with implementation, configuration, and tuning of endpoint and network security controls such as endpoint protection, IDS/IPS, DLP, MFA, and related technologies.
  • Review system and network configurations, and recommend security improvements.
  • Contribute to security awareness training and phishing simulations.
  • Provide guidance to IT and business teams on practical security measures.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Security, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • 2 to 5 years of experience in information security, cybersecurity, or IT operations.
  • Working understanding of network and system security, common cyber threats, incident response, and vulnerability management.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, documentation, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Security+, CEH, CISSP, GIAC, or a similar certification.

  • Familiarity with security practices in Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud.
  • Experience in a regulated or compliance-focused environment.

Schedule

  • Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
  • Occasional after-hours work required
