Network Security Engineer

Based in Foster City, MI with a hybrid work arrangement, this opportunity offers an hourly rate of USD 88. You will help implement, maintain, and mature network security programs across client environments, collaborating with cross-functional teams to deploy controls such as firewalls, VPNs, and network access management.

Responsibilities

• Manage next generation firewall and UTM devices
• Implement and maintain AWS network security controls across environments
• Enforce Network Access Control using 802.1X
• Configure and support remote access VPN

Requirements

• 6+ years of Network Security Engineer experience supporting production environments
• 6+ years of IT systems or application engineering/administration experience
• 6+ years of hands-on experience with AWS network security services
• Practical knowledge of PKI, cryptography, and certificates
• Strong understanding of the OSI model across all layers
• Solid knowledge of Layer 7 protection techniques in network security
• Strong understanding of AWS Network Firewall, Security Groups, NACLs, AWS Transit Gateway, and VPC architectures
