Job Description

This senior national security role supports the DTRA program, serving as a subject matter expert on New START Treaty (NST) training and operations, including inspector certification support, training coordination, and treaty training execution. The position is based onsite in Fort Belvoir, VA.

Role Overview

As a National Security Analyst Sr, you will provide expert support across NST training and operations. Responsibilities include maintaining certification and training records, advising on NST implementation, coordinating required training, and supporting inspection teams with technical and administrative assistance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for New START Treaty (NST) training and operations.
  • Support the inspector certification process.
  • Issue training material, orient inspectors to the certification process, and provide direct instruction.
  • Maintain certification records and track certification progress.
  • Serve as an SME for NST implementation and provide advisory support to Treaty Certification Evaluation Boards.
  • Schedule and track additional required training.
  • Coordinate Russian language training.
  • Coordinate the semi-annual NST Orientation Course and serve as an instructor or facilitator as required.
  • Support the creation and implementation of training plans.
  • Coordinate training resources and maintain training records.
  • Support processing and classification marking of reports.
  • Provide technical and administrative support to inspection teams.
  • Ensure training material remains current.
  • Maintain electronic files on SharePoint.
  • Participate in treaty training exercises and site assistance visits as required.
  • Update SOPs and best practices.

Required Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science (or work experience in lieu of the degree).
  • Experience: 5+ years of related experience with national security and training supporting DTRA.
  • Technical: Must have experience using Microsoft Office business applications (including Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Teams, PowerPoint, Project, and SharePoint Online).
  • Security Clearance: TS/SCI required.
  • Work Conditions: Must be able to work onsite and travel 4 times a year as needed.
  • Citizenship: U.S. Citizenship required.

Compensation and Location

Location: Fort Belvoir, VA (onsite).
Salary: USD 93,662 to 120,750 per year.
