IT Support & Cybersecurity Technician

Espey Manufacturing & Electronics Corp. is actively seeking an IT Support & Cybersecurity Technician to help protect and manage the company’s IT backbone across both manufacturing floors and office spaces in Saratoga Springs. This role blends hands-on systems administration with cybersecurity operations and user support within a regulated manufacturing environment, offering a pathway for an early-career professional to deepen expertise in IT and security disciplines.

Responsibilities

• Carry out routine tasks that verify security compliance
• Monitor security alerts and SIEM dashboards
• Review antivirus, EDR, and firewall alerts
• Perform vulnerability scanning, review results, and remediate within defined guidelines
• Assist with monitoring and maintaining cybersecurity tools, updates, and system protections
• Support IT documentation, inventory management, and secure system configuration
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives related to IT operations and cybersecurity
• Create detailed and accurate work instructions for routine tasks
• Provide day-to-day technical support for users across office and manufacturing environments as needed
• Assist with workstation setup, hardware installation, software deployment, and troubleshooting
• Support network, server, and endpoint maintenance activities as needed

Requirements

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field
• 1–3 years of experience in IT support, help desk, systems administration, or cybersecurity support
• Understanding of computer hardware, operating systems, networking, and cybersecurity principles
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and work independently in a fast-paced environment
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Strong organizational skills
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. security clearance
