IT Audit, Cybersecurity & Risk Manager (SOC Focus)

Baker Tilly Advisory Group, LP is seeking an IT Audit, Cybersecurity & Risk Manager (SOC Focus) for its Risk Advisory practice. This hybrid role in Frisco, TX centers on evaluating and managing clients’ information technology risks, with emphasis on cybersecurity, IT governance, compliance, and SOC reporting. You will contribute to internal audit and IT control assessments, support client-facing engagement work, and help drive staffing and profitability outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Partner with client executives and management teams to understand business operations and identify ways to manage financial and operational risks within technology systems.
• Build strong knowledge of client businesses and industries through direct client interaction while contributing to multiple aspects of engagements.
• Apply independent, strategic thinking to assess client systems and risks and provide recommendations for business and process improvements aligned to client objectives.
• Advise clients on key risk areas by supporting the implementation of new processes and controls.
• Assess, manage, and optimize IT risk across cybersecurity, IT strategy and governance, regulatory and compliance requirements, and business continuity.
• Review client processes and controls against industry frameworks, identifying gaps in design and execution and communicating issues and recommendations to clients.
• Manage audit program development and oversee execution of internal audits and IT control assessments across IT strategy and governance.
• Manage audit program development and oversee execution of internal audits and IT control assessments across IT operations, business continuity, and disaster recovery.
• Manage audit program development and oversee execution of internal audits and IT control assessments focused on cybersecurity.
• Manage audit program development and oversee execution of internal audits and IT control assessments focused on third-party risk.
• Manage audit program development and oversee execution of internal audits and IT control assessments focused on ITGC and application controls.
• Manage audit program development and oversee execution of internal audits and IT control assessments focused on SOC reporting.
• Manage audit program development and oversee execution of internal audits and IT control assessments focused on regulatory and compliance requirements.
• Draft executive summaries and final client reports, while documenting and reviewing engagement work papers using industry-accepted internal audit methodologies.
• Serve as a business advisor by building relationships and communicating effectively to deliver strong client service.
• Facilitate professional presentations to internal and external audiences.
• Continue developing expertise across a variety of technology environments, platforms, applications, and tools/utilities.
• Support engagement staffing and billings/collections, helping ensure client profitability targets are met.
• Use networking skills to build relationships internally, externally, and within the community.
• Invest in professional development through individual learning and firmwide learning and development programs.

Requirements

• 4 year degree
• Five (5) years of experience
• Bachelor’s degree in management/computer information systems, computer science, accounting information systems, computer engineering, industrial engineering, or a related program
• CISA, CISSP, CISM, CIA, or CPA certification(s) required
• 5+ year(s) of experience with IT audit or cybersecurity, with prior experience performing SOC and SOX audits preferred
• Experience as a client-serving professional for a consulting firm desired
• Excellent analytical, technical, and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail
• Exceptional verbal and written communication, collaboration, and time management skills

Baker Tilly offers a comprehensive compensation and benefits package to eligible employees.

Compensation: USD 105,000 to 191,500 per year.
