IT Audit, Cybersecurity & Risk Senior Consultant

Baker Tilly’s Risk Advisory practice is seeking an IT Audit, Cybersecurity & Risk Senior Consultant with a financial services focus to support clients in managing technology risk. In this hybrid role based in Frisco, TX, you will help teams evaluate information technology risks, perform IT audits and internal control assessments, and deliver clear reporting and recommendations to executive stakeholders.

You will work across a variety of engagement areas, from cybersecurity and IT governance to regulatory and business continuity topics, partnering with client executives and management to identify gaps, assess controls, and improve processes tied to key risks.

Responsibilities

• Partner with client executives and management teams to understand business objectives and assist in identifying and managing financial and operational risks within business systems so technology risks are properly addressed.
• Build in-depth knowledge of client businesses and industries through direct client interaction while contributing to multiple aspects of engagements.
• Apply independent, strategic thinking about clients’ systems and risks, providing recommendations for business and process improvements based on client operations, processes, and objectives.
• Provide strategic advisory support by helping clients implement new processes and controls that address key risks.
• Assess, manage, and optimize information technology risk across areas including cybersecurity, IT strategy and governance, IT regulatory and compliance, and business continuity.
• Review client processes and controls against relevant industry frameworks, identify gaps in design and execution, and communicate issues and recommendations.
• Support the development of audit programs and the execution of internal audits and IT control assessments across topics such as:
  • IT strategy and governance
  • IT operations, business continuity and disaster recovery
  • Cybersecurity
  • Third party risk
  • ITGC and application controls
  • SOC reporting
  • Regulatory and compliance requirements
• Draft comprehensive executive summaries and final reports for client delivery, and document and review engagement work papers using industry-accepted internal audit methodologies.
• Serve as a valued business advisor by building relationships and communicating effectively to deliver strong client service.
• Continue developing expertise across a range of technology environments, platforms, applications, and tools/utilities.
• Pursue ongoing growth through external and internal education, training, and cross-training opportunities.
• Use relationship-building and networking skills to strengthen connections internally and externally with clients.

Requirements

• 4 year degree
• Three (3) years of experience

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in management/computer information systems, computer science, accounting information systems, computer engineering, industrial engineering, or related program.
• CISA, CISSP, CISM, CIA or CPA certification(s) preferred.
• 3+ years of experience with IT audit or cybersecurity; prior experience performing IT SOX and IT FDICIA audits preferred.
• Ability to travel to various client sites, including overnight travel as needed up to 30%.
• Experience as a client-serving professional for a consulting firm preferred.
• Experience with financial services preferred.
• Excellent analytical, technical, and problem solving skills with strong attention to detail.
• Ability to go onsite to the client 3 days a week as needed.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication, collaboration, and time management skills.

Compensation

The pay rate range for this job position is USD 78,100 to USD 126,500 per yearly. Actual compensation is influenced by factors including skills, prior experience, qualifications, degrees, professional certifications, work arrangements, and geographic location.
