Information System Security Engineer (ISSE)

Accenture Federal Services is hiring an Information System Security Engineer (ISSE) for onsite work in Huntsville, AL to engineer cloud security controls, tooling, and authorization support.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement security controls for cloud-based systems, including identity and access management, encryption, and network security
• Engineer and administer security tooling for real risk visibility, including SIEM (Splunk) and vulnerability management (Nessus/ACAS)
• Build security-as-code automation to deploy and configure security tooling using Ansible, Terraform, PowerShell, Bash, or Python
• Provide technical engineering input to RMF authorization activities, including SSP, SCTM, POA&Ms, and Risk Assessment Reports
• Develop and tune incident detection capabilities, including detections, alert tuning, and improved telemetry for incident response support
• Conduct technical compliance reviews of new and existing systems against IA directives, including data protection across classification levels
• Ensure security architecture and controls are implemented and functioning across supported cloud environments
• Deliver engineering-grounded inputs to RMF documentation that hold up under authorization review
• Create detections and alerting that measurably improve incident response time and coverage
• Support automated, repeatable deployment and configuration of security tooling to avoid manual one-off setups

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience implementing NIST 800-53 controls and the Risk Management Framework (RMF), including at least 1 year hands-on administration of security tooling such as:
  • SIEM (Splunk)
  • vulnerability management (Nessus/ACAS)
  • security automation (Ansible, Terraform, PowerShell, Bash, or Python)
• 2+ years of experience with virtualization or cloud environments (AWS or Azure)
• DoD 8570 IASAE Level II certification (for example, CISSP, CASP+), or DoD 8140 equivalent
• Bachelor’s or Associate degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related technical field, or 4+ years of relevant job or military experience in lieu of degree

• Knowledge of JSIG or ICD 503
• Experience working in a DevSecOps project environment
• Familiarity with National Security systems and air-gapped environments

Security Requirements

• Active TS clearance required; SCI preferred

Salary: USD 103,200 - 196,400 per year
