Information Security Engineer

SPAN Digital is hiring an Information Security Engineer in San Francisco, CA to help safeguard company systems, networks, and sensitive information. This position emphasizes secure technology operations, threat monitoring, incident response support, and maintaining current documentation for compliance and risk management.

Key Responsibilities

• Implement and maintain information security controls across relevant systems and environments
• Monitor systems for vulnerabilities and suspicious activity to support early detection
• Investigate security incidents and provide recommendations for corrective actions
• Conduct security assessments and support risk management activities
• Maintain security documentation and compliance records
• Collaborate with IT and engineering teams to strengthen protection and reduce exposure

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or a related field
• Experience in information security, IT, or network security
• Knowledge of security tools, access controls, and risk assessment
• Understanding of security frameworks and best practices
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills

Compensation

The annual salary range for this role is USD 110,000 to 150,000.

Work Location

This role is onsite and in person in San Francisco, CA.
