Job Description

The Federal Bureau of Investigation is seeking FBI Special Agents with cybersecurity and IT expertise to support investigations that protect national security and address cyber-related violations. This onsite role in New Haven, CT centers on information security work and experience with SIEM tools.

Role Overview

As an FBI Special Agent, you will plan and conduct investigations involving potential violations of federal laws, with a focus on cybersecurity and public safety. The position requires applying professional judgment and adapting investigative efforts to meet mission needs. Travel is required as part of the role.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and conduct investigations of potential violations of federal laws, cybersecurity, and public safety.
  • Apply judgment, resourcefulness, and versatility to meet investigative demands.
  • Develop and maintain liaison relationships with federal, state, local, tribal, territorial, and international law enforcement agencies.
  • Maintain a level of physical fitness to ensure readiness required to perform law enforcement duties.

Required Qualifications

  • Must be a U.S. citizen.
  • Must be able to obtain a Top Secret Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) Clearance.
  • Must be willing to travel as required.
  • Must meet the FBI Employment Eligibility requirements.
  • Must hold a master's degree or higher from a U.S. accredited college or university.

Compensation

Annual Salary: USD 103,236 - 133,200. Salary is commensurate with base, locality, and availability pay.

Education Requirement

A master's degree or higher from a U.S. accredited college or university is required.
