FBI Special Agent: Cybersecurity/IT Expertise
Job Description
The Federal Bureau of Investigation seeks a Special Agent with demonstrated cybersecurity and information technology expertise to lead investigations, monitor cyber threats, and coordinate with interagency partners. This on-site role is based in Birmingham, Alabama, and requires U.S. citizenship, a master’s degree or higher, and a Top Secret SCI clearance.
Responsibilities
- Plan and conduct investigations into potential federal law violations, cybersecurity incidents, and public safety matters.
- Apply sound judgment, initiative, and adaptability to meet investigative demands.
- Establish and maintain effective liaison relationships with federal, state, local, tribal, territorial, and international law enforcement partners.
- Maintain the physical fitness necessary to perform law enforcement duties on site.
Requirements
- U.S. citizenship is required.
- Ability to obtain a Top Secret SCI clearance (Sensitive Compartmented Information).
- Willingness to travel as needed for the role.
- Meets the FBI Employment Eligibility requirements.
- Master's degree or higher from a U.S. accredited college or university.
