Job Description

The Federal Bureau of Investigation offers a path to meaningful national security work through a Special Agent role focused on information security and cybersecurity investigations. Based onsite in Norfolk, VA, this position supports threat detection and safeguarding critical systems by leveraging SIEM tools and encryption expertise. It represents a transition from a specialized career into federal law enforcement, with a salary range of $103,236 to $133,200 per year. A master’s degree or higher is required to qualify.

What you will do

  • Plan and conduct investigations into potential federal law violations, cybersecurity incidents, and public safety concerns.
  • Apply sound judgment, resourcefulness, and adaptability to meet investigative demands.
  • Establish and maintain productive liaison relationships with federal, state, local, tribal, territorial, and international law enforcement partners.
  • Maintain the physical fitness level needed to perform law enforcement duties.

What we require

  • U.S. citizen.
  • Ability to obtain a Top Secret SCI clearance.
  • Willingness to travel as required.
  • Compliance with the FBI Employment Eligibility requirements.
  • Master’s degree or higher from a U.S. accredited college or university.

Salary: USD 103,236 - 133,200 per year
