Role overview

This FBI special agent position concentrates on information security and cybersecurity investigations. You will leverage SIEM, threat detection, and vulnerability analysis to safeguard national security. The role involves transitioning from IT work into federal law enforcement and may require travel, with eligibility for a Top Secret Sensitive Compartmented Information clearance.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and conduct investigations of potential violations of federal laws, cybersecurity, and public safety.
  • Demonstrate judgment, resourcefulness, and versatility to meet investigative demands.
  • Establish and maintain effective liaison relationships with federal, state, local, tribal, territorial, and international law enforcement agencies.
  • Maintain the physical fitness level required to perform law enforcement duties.

Requirements

  • U.S. citizenship
  • Ability to obtain a Top Secret Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) clearance
  • Willingness to travel as required
  • Eligibility to work for the FBI
  • Master's degree or higher from a U.S. accredited college or university

Salary: $103,236 - $133,200 per year
