Job Description

VHC Health is hiring an Epic Applications Security Analyst to support the monitoring and protection of information systems assets with an emphasis on Epic.

Responsibilities

  • Support a team responsible for managing and monitoring the safety of information systems assets, protecting systems from intentional or inadvertent access or destruction
  • Coordinate security efforts between Epic application teams
  • Ensure authorized users can successfully log in to Hyperspace with the appropriate security controls to perform job tasks
  • Respond to, analyze, and help resolve information security issues, concerns, questions, incidents, and events
  • Identify and evaluate risks and threats
  • Evaluate current information security posture and recommend approaches to strengthen it as appropriate

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer engineering, computer science, or information systems management, or an approved equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Three years of additional related experience may substitute in lieu of the education requirement
  • Minimum three (3) years of experience in information technology, preferably concentrated in information security
  • Experience with and knowledge of UNIX operating systems desired; Microsoft operating systems required
  • Knowledge of risk and threat assessment process and practices
  • Project planning and management experience
  • Business continuity planning, documentation, and evaluation experience
  • Experience with vulnerability scanning tools, including Qualys, Nessus, Nexpose, and Saint
  • Experience with web application vulnerability scanning tools such as IBM AppScan, HP Webinspect, Accunetix, NTO Spider, and BurpSuite Pro
  • Experience with static analysis tools including IBM Appscan Source and HP Fortify
  • Experience with high-level programming languages: Java, C, C++, and .NET (including C# and VB)
  • Experience with web application development: ASP.NET, ASP, PHP, J2EE, and JSP
  • Experience with Epic application security is a plus

  • Alexandria, VA (onsite)

Compensation

  • USD 78,582 - 143,000 per year
