Job Description

Northrop Grumman seeks a Cybersecurity Systems Engineer in Oklahoma City to identify vulnerabilities, automate cybersecurity workflows, and influence security architecture decisions.

Responsibilities

  • Solve complex technical problems involving cybersecurity concepts.
  • Assess software static code analysis results to inform risk posture.
  • Complete Cybersecurity Impact Appraisals and Evaluations on hardware and software projects.
  • Generate and maintain artifacts required for Air Force authorization decisions.
  • Perform system vulnerability scans using tools such as ACAS and STIGs.
  • Carry out manual STIG and SRG verifications on diverse equipment, including collecting and evaluating findings.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field with at least 2 years of relevant military or professional experience, or a Master’s degree in a STEM field with some relevant military, professional, or academic experience.
  • Active US Government Secret clearance or higher, with a background investigation completed within the last 6 years or currently enrolled in Continuous Evaluation.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) clearance within a timeframe defined by business needs.
  • Experience with cybersecurity vulnerability assessments and evaluations.
  • Knowledge of NIST 800-53, NIST 800-171, NSS/CSA PM 9-12, and JSIG.

Description

In this role, you will assess software and hardware for vulnerabilities, develop automation for cybersecurity processes, and support the security architecture design. You will guide security tool selection and development, evaluate proposed implementations to identify security risks, and verify that protections designed into the system are realized in practice. The position emphasizes collaboration across teams to strengthen overall cybersecurity posture on assigned programs.
