Job Description

KBR is seeking an experienced Cybersecurity Specialist to support the acquisition of aeronautical systems and subsystems. This hybrid role in Warner Robins, GA focuses on cybersecurity engineering and analysis, including the development and review of artifacts for integration of advanced avionics systems and subsystems under the Risk Management Framework (RMF) at the AFLCMC C-130 Program Office.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support and advise the C-130 Information System Security Manager (ISSM) as part of a collaborative team to develop cybersecurity strategies and program protection planning
  • Contribute to development of artifacts required to obtain Interim Authorizations to Test (IATTs) and Authorizations to Operate (ATOs) in accordance with RMF
  • Review program documentation, including concepts, requirements, design, manuals, reports, deficiency or change reports, and program schedules to verify that security requirements are addressed and sustained
  • Resolve complex cybersecurity issues while working with a team environment focused on protecting customers against advanced, persistent threats
  • Perform cybersecurity analysis on integrated weapons system components, including data environments, software, data, and hardware, to identify cybersecurity requirements and risks
  • Analyze and identify component and subsystem vulnerabilities and risks to determine potential solutions and safeguards, including system survivability and interoperability
  • Assess systems to support compliance of cybersecurity controls, risk mitigations, and testing as they relate to RMF
  • Occasional travel is required (approximately 15%)

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, plus a minimum of 4-6 years of Information Systems Security experience
  • In lieu of the degree, an additional eight (8) years of related professional experience
  • CISSP, CISM, GIAC, or an equivalent certification
  • Experience with Risk Management Framework (RMF)
  • Experience with life cycle support on developmental programs
  • Experience collaborating with Program Offices on weapon systems programs
  • Experience with weapon system or airborne platform software, avionics, or networking
  • Experience with C-130 or other similar fixed wing or military aircraft
  • DoD Secret clearance requirement
  • Must be a U.S. citizen
