Cybersecurity Product Engineer

Regal Rexnord is seeking a Cybersecurity Product Engineer to help drive product security execution across its software teams. In this role, you will shape security processes and compliance approach, lead incident response readiness, coordinate CVE response, and translate security obligations into engineering work. The position is based at the company’s global headquarters in Radford, VA and follows a hybrid work model with scheduled in-office days.

This engineering-focused cybersecurity position centers on building practical, repeatable ways for product teams to assess risk, plan mitigations, maintain compliance evidence, and respond to vulnerabilities as part of ongoing software delivery. You will also contribute directly to mitigation design and implementation to support product features and releases.

Responsibilities

• Own product cybersecurity compliance execution across software teams.
• Lead the software incident response team and response process.
• Lead threat analysis, risk assessment, and cybersecurity planning for product features and releases.
• Define mitigation plans and convert cybersecurity requirements into executable engineering work.
• Lead CVE assessment, prioritization, and response coordination.
• Own compliance evidence and assessment documentation for software cybersecurity obligations.
• Build practical, repeatable cybersecurity processes that teams can apply consistently.
• Define risk thresholds, response levels, and escalation criteria.
• Contribute directly to mitigation design and implementation.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 5+ years of focused experience around cyber security.
• Strong experience in software development.
• Product Cybersecurity Leadership: Ability to lead compliance, risk analysis, and mitigation planning across teams, including demonstrated success leading complex initiatives and providing strategic guidance across functions, with influence over decision-making and delivery of outcomes without direct reporting relationships.
• Risk Analysis: Ability to assess threats, vulnerabilities, and required product responses.
• Compliance and Documentation: Ability to lead assessments, records, and documentation required for cybersecurity compliance.

Work Model

• Hybrid: Onsite at your designated Regal Rexnord location at least 3 days per week (Monday through Thursday).
• Flexibility to work remotely up to 2 days per week, including Friday.

Preferred Skills and Qualifications

• Experience working with embedded software teams strongly preferred.
• Experience in industrial automation, motion control, or related products strongly preferred.
• Industrial Product Domain Knowledge: Experience with cybersecurity implications for motion control, industrial automation, or embedded products.
• Communication: Clear communication of risk, required action, and status to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Expected Base Salary: USD 75,000 - 94,200 per year.
